Go all out with your red, white and blue this summer for the Fourth of July, with a few entertainment and décor ideas for an inside or outside patriotic party.
Decorations
Cover your table with white paper and color a Fourth of July tabletop using only red and blue markers, pencils and crayons – plus up with tiny flag and fireworks stickers. Find plastic or paper blue and red plates and napkins at dollar stores. Gather little flags in a vase (instead of flowers) for an easy centerpiece.
Activities
Kids can decorate t-shirts, small ceramic pots or headbands with red, white and blue paint, felt, and other craft accessories. Frost cookies or cupcakes with red, white and blue frosting and sprinkles. And, have a red, white and blue water balloon fight in the yard.
Food & Drinks
Keep the red white and blue theme going with strawberries, blueberries and marshmallows as they top of your Fourth of July cake for a sure-fire hit. For extra sparkle, add a lit sparkler to the top of the cake upon presentation.
Fill a large red or blue container with ice and drinks sporting red, white and blue packaging. As a plus-up, instead of ice, freeze small red and blue water balloons to act as the ice instead!
Be creative and gather up all your red, white and blue to show your spirit and have fun this Fourth of July.
